Whiteboard animation in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
Add the address below to your assistant as a connector and sign in with your WhiteboardAnimation.ai account. Then give it a finished picture and ask for a whiteboard animation: it draws the picture stroke by stroke, shows the drawing in the chat, and gives you a link that saves the MP4. New accounts start with free credits.
Connect your assistant
Pick your client. Each one asks you to sign in the first time; after that the tools are there in every chat.
- In Claude (web or desktop), open Customize → Connectors and add a custom connector named Whiteboard Animation with the address above, or let the button fill it in.
- Choose Connect and sign in with your WhiteboardAnimation.ai account.
- Give Claude the link to a finished picture and ask for a whiteboard animation.
Or let your agent set it up
Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent that can edit its own MCP settings.
Add the Whiteboard Animation MCP server to my MCP settings: streamable HTTP at https://mcp.whiteboardanimation.ai/mcp, sign-in with OAuth (no API key). Then help me sign in, and once it is connected, call its status tool and tell me how many credits I have.
What to ask for
Each prompt opens in Claude or ChatGPT; the assistant asks for your picture first.
A lesson explainer
Your diagram drawn by hand, line by line, ready to narrate over.
A product reveal
A product shot sketched in, then coloured, for a launch video or an ad.
A picture-book page
Each illustration drawn in as the story is read aloud.
A folder of scenes
From a coding agent: every picture in a folder drawn and saved as clips.
What the server can do
Your assistant picks the tools; you ask in plain words.
Draw a picture
A finished PNG, JPEG or WebP, attached in the chat or read from a file, drawn as a whiteboard animation. Choose the subject or the background first, and the hand.
Watch it come in
The drawing plays right in the chat, in clients that show MCP apps such as Claude and ChatGPT.
Save the video
One link for one or many drawings: opened in a browser, it makes each MP4 or WebM and saves it.
Check credits and history
What a drawing costs, the credits left on your account, and your latest drawings.
Credits
Each picture spends one credit, from the same balance as Studio.
A drawing that fails gives its credit back.
New accounts start with free credits; plans and packs add more.
Which whiteboard animation tools have an MCP server
What VideoScribe, Doodly, Vyond, Animaker and Powtoon offer an AI assistant, from their own sites on 29 October 2026. “None found” means no MCP server on their site or help centre.

|---|---|---|
| VideoScribe | None found | A desktop and web editor. |

| Animaker | None found | An API on application, not an MCP server. |
| Powtoon | None found | Integrations through its partnerships team. |
| WhiteboardAnimation.ai | Yes | A remote MCP server: sign in from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client and draw your own pictures. |
