Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of WhiteboardAnimation.ai (the “Service”), which is operated by Stack Craft LLC, a United States company (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for a team or an organization, you confirm that you may accept these Terms on its behalf.
1. The Service
WhiteboardAnimation.ai turns a finished picture (PNG, JPEG or WebP) that you upload into a whiteboard drawing. You can play the drawing and export it as a video in your browser, and, on plans that include API access, use our HTTP API to create drawings programmatically. The Service does not create an original picture from a text prompt.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may set limits on file size, queue length, export size or API use. We will describe the limits that apply to your plan in the Service.
2. Accounts
You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it, including actions taken with API keys you create. Keep your Google account and your API keys secure, and tell us at hello@celados.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Work happens in workspaces. Drawings made in a workspace are visible to its members, and a workspace’s owners and admins manage its plan, billing and API keys. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service; it is not directed at children under 13.
3. Plans, credits and payment
The Service offers a Free plan and paid Starter and Pro plans, each billed monthly or yearly, as well as one-time credit packs. Current prices, credit amounts and plan features are shown on the pricing section of our homepage and in the Studio before you pay. Taxes may be added where they apply.
Drawings use credits. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, except as described in the refund section below.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Monthly credits are granted every month; on a yearly plan they are granted every 30 days across the year.
- Credit packs are valid for 90 days from purchase.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and your credits reset to the new plan’s allotment.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan and its subscription credits stay usable until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Failed drawings: if a drawing fails, the credits it used are returned to you automatically.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We may change prices or plan contents for future billing periods; a change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
4. Refunds
If a charge looks wrong or something did not work, email hello@celados.com within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right, including a refund. Please include the email address of your account and a short description of what happened.
5. Free plan and how long your drawings are kept
Free plan exports carry a watermark and are limited in resolution; paid plans lift these limits as described in the Service.
- Drawings you created before paid plans launched are kept.
- After launch, a drawing in a Free workspace is hidden from the library 7 days after you last edited it. It is hidden, not deleted.
- Paid plans keep every drawing in the library.
You can delete a drawing yourself at any time. Deleting it removes it for everyone in the workspace and does not refund its credits.
6. Your content
You own the pictures you upload and the drawings you generate from them. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, store, copy and display your content solely to provide and secure the Service for you and the members of your workspace. We do not use your content for any other purpose under this licence, and the licence ends when your content is deleted, subject to the short delay before deletion completes in our systems and backups.
You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload it and to use it with the Service.
7. Commercial use
The Pro plan includes a commercial licence: you may use the drawings and videos you make in client work, advertising, paid courses and other commercial projects. Drawings and videos made on the Free and Starter plans are for personal and non-commercial use.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or generate illegal content, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, including content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- harass, threaten or defraud others, or upload content that exploits or endangers minors;
- interfere with or overload the Service, probe it for weaknesses, or bypass limits, quotas or payment;
- access the Service by automated means other than our documented API, or share API keys with people outside your workspace;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service except as the law allows.
We may remove content, restrict features or suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the Service or other people at risk. Where reasonable we will tell you why.
9. Our rights
The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms give you a right to use the Service, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers such as Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting and storage). Their own terms apply to your use of their services. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we share with them.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account in Account settings; the Privacy Policy describes what is deleted and what is kept. Workspaces you own must be handed over, and paid plans cancelled, before the account can be deleted. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content licences, disclaimers, limits of liability and governing law) survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a drawing will look the way you expect. Please keep your own copies of anything you need to keep.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law of your place permits.
You agree to indemnify us against claims by third parties arising from content you upload or from your breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be decided in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we consent to those courts. Mandatory consumer rights in the place where you live are not affected.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If a change is material we will give notice in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
